From the 1st of July all the way to the 5th, I spent my week on work experience with the lovely staff at GoJute where the team provided an educational and simultaneously interesting range of tasks to show what the company is all about.
Throughout the week, both logical and creative challenges were put forward for me, and the staff were ultimately very supportive and kind. The workplace is relaxed, and it’s apparent that everyone cares immensely about the business and the message it strives to put across.
I have learnt many useful skills from this workplace, such as sales management, marketing, production, and how versatile and worthy GoJute really is! Knowing how useful and great this business is has made me ‘root for jute’.
I learnt the basics of marketing and how important their customers are to the company, including customers’ opinions and reviews.
I learnt how important it is for complex and large orders to be shipped from overseas, and how amazing the customer service is; it’s speedy, and the team is always on hand if the customer has any problems. The UK orders are especially fast, considering the excellent craftsmanship of each bag.
I learnt about the production of the bags, and how much time, effort and love are put into each of them, making each product individual and unique.
GoJute is an inspirational company, and I want to thank every member of the team from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful experience. You’ve all taught me new skills, including how to make my very own personalised cotton bag, which is beautiful and sustainable. I recommend GoJute to anyone and everyone; this is a five-star business!
