Cornwall Networking is anything but dull!
Last Night GoJutes Sales manager, Angie went to the hottest Cornwall Networking launch party , The Samphire Club- a new and exclusive social network for private sector businesses founded by self-styled logistics guru and people-connector, John Harvey.
The event was held at The Cornish Food Box Company café, Truro (which in itself is a real treat, full of local produce and a charming, rustic atmosphere). Guests were treated to an Argentinian barbecue, canapes, wine and prosecco!
“We all know that people do business with people but, in order for that to happen, it’s very important to get out from our offices and meet – preferably in attractive surroundings over good food and drink,” said Harvey.
“The Samphire Club is all about bringing interests, personalities and possibilities together in outstanding settings – not just in Cornwall but across the region and, just as importantly, London.”
All guests received one of GoJutes square jute bags, filled to the brim with The Samphire Club magazine-first edition, a delicious cake provided by Peboryon, and a steak herb Chimichurri (Cornish Food Box Company sisters Tor and Lucy’s homemade recipe). All rather unusual yet incredibly authentic!
The bags were well received as you can see from the images and even if we do say so ourselves, looked stunning with their vivid turquoise logo against the black jute background.
Other partners of the launch event were: Anthony Greenwood, Cornwall Innovation, Cornish Pirates, IT West, Kingdom & Sparrow, Mining Searches UK, Rick Stein, St Austell Brewery, Stephens Scown, SBPR, The Greenbank Hotel and Total Produce.
Productive networking is essential to business success and Angie is looking forward to attending further networking events organised by the club, bringing people together in interesting venues in the months and years ahead.
